Description
Farmhouse. Early C19 doubled in size mid C19. Red brick and ironstone ashlar, hipped slate roof, brick lateral stacks. 2-unit central staircase plan made double-depth. 3-storey, 3-window range. Entrance front has central 6-panel door with timber lintel, 3-light leaded casement windows to ground, first floor and second floors except for similar 2-light casement over door and blank window to centre of second floor; all have stop-chamfered timber lintels. A single-storey brick lean-to extension to right with 6-panel back door with semi-circular hood on brackets and 2-light casement window to right. Straight joint to middle of side elevation. Garden front of c.1840 has 2 storeys and is faced with stone. Central 6-panel door with ornamental overlight in pilastered stone surround with entablature, 12-pane sash windows to ground floor, 9-pane sashes to first, all with stone lintel and keyblocks. Plinth, quoins, first floor string course and stone eaves cornice. Interior not inspected.
