Description
House. Datestone 1700 on right side. Coursed squared ironstone, tile roof, stone stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3 bays. Central doorway with plain stone frame. C18 six-panel door and gabled timber hood on brackets. 3-light stone-mullioned window with moulded stone surround and straight stone hood on either side. 2-light stone mullioned windows without hoods to left bay and centre on the first floor. Coped gable ends with kneelers. Two 2-light stone-mullioned windows to both floors at rear. Gabled wing projecting from left side at rear. Same build and materials as the main block. 2 storeys and attic; one bay. Blocked 3-light stone-mullioned window to ground floor. Similar window, enlarged C20, to first floor and partly blocked. 2-light stone-mullioned window to attic. Coped gable end with stack at apex. Interior: stop-chamfered spine beams, open fireplaces, and fireplace in rear room on ground floor with wood bolection moulded surround. Early C18 staircase with twisted balususters and moulded handrail.
