Description

Stables, now laboratory. C.1738. Limestone ashlar with C20 plain-tile roof. Half H-plan. 2 storeys. Main front of 7-window range. Blank triple arcade in centre has sash window with glazing bars to each arch. 2-window ranges, flanking, of sashes, reducing at first floor with glazing bars and gauged stone heads. Moulded stone cornice with plain parapet. Hipped roof with central clock turret and cupula. Elevation to right is similar of 5-window range. Rear has projecting wings forming 3 sides of a courtyard. Some C20 alterations. Interior not inspected.
