Description

1672, altered. Coursed limestone with narrow bands of ironstone, ironstone quoins and dressings. Thatched roof with brick chimneys, stone copings and kneelers to gables. South front has gabled projection right of centre with 2 light casement window over ledged door with double moulding superimposed to form 3 panels. 2 window section left of gable has 1st floor 2 light stone mullioned leaded casements, similar 3 light casement on left of ground floor and 2 light in stone surround on right. 3 window section on right of gable has 1 leaded stone mullioned casement and 2 later casements. West gable end defaced date stone, leaded 3 light casement window. North front projecting gable, 2 light upper casement window either side over ground floor, lean-to extensions on ground floor. Interior: C17 oak staircase with moulded handrail, heavy turned balusters. No. 1 (the Manor House) and the Barn (now Garage) of No. 1 form a group.
