Description

House. Early C17 origins, mainly mid C18 with minor C19 alterations. Regular coursed and squared coursed limestone and brick with pantile roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front of 2 blank bays with small gable to left. C19 part-glazed door under wood lintel to centre. Lateral stepped brick and stone stack rises from apex of gable. Elevation to right is a pair of gables, part with remains of ashlar parapets. C19 canted bay to left. Brick and stone stacks at ends. Garden front to rear of entrance front has 2-window range of C19 sash windows, with ashlar surrounds at first floor. Casement at ground floor, partly blocked and with French door attached to left window. Gable to right of garden front has small section of restored timber framing in apex. Interior: room to right of entrance has moulded spine beam. Room to left of entrance has remains of open fireplace to lateral stack. All ground floor rooms are at differing levels. This house was formerly part of Sudborough Brewery.
