Description

Farmhouse. Mid C17. Coursed limestone and ironstone rubble. Slate roof, central brick stack. Two unit lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Central doorway with wood lintel and C20 door. Flat stone hood on stone bracket to left and projecting wall to right. Window to left has C17 stone hood and C19 three-light wood casement. Similar window in right bay. Small one- light stone framed window between right bay and doorway. Central first floor window similar. Windows with square stone hoods fitted with C19 sashes to left and right. On left side, stone mullioned windows of 3 and 2 lights first floor and attic. On right side 2 openings have stone hoods but C20 windows. Coped gables on kneelers. Interior: Newel stair in thickness of wall to right of entrance. Stop-chamfered joists in ground floor rooms. Open fireplace and bread oven.
