Description

Orangery. Late C18. Heightened and balustraded parapet added c.1930 by Sir Herbert Baker. Ironstone ashlar, 5 bays with long tripartite sash windows. Interior remodelled as a ball room c.1930 and has fireplace and fittings of this date. Service block adjoining at rear. Late C18 refronted on side facing house in 1984-5. Ironstone ashlar hipped slate roof 2 storeys. 7 bays of sash windows at rear. 3 eliptical stone arches facing house. Wooden clock turret with cupola, the clock said to be by Ainsworth Thwaites.
