Description
Cottage. Late C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble, ridged tile roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. Door and window of former butchers' shop to right of centre with single wood lintel. 2-light casement windows to ground floor left and right, small 2-light casement to 1st floor left and 3-light casement to 1st floor right, all with wood lintels. Quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Bread oven projection to left gable end. Entrance to rear with C20 gabled porch. Attached barn to right with slate roof, plank door with wood lintel, and loft door to right with plank door and wood lintel. Interior of cottage has open fireplace with elm cambered chamfered bressumer and bread oven, and stop-chamfered spine beams.
