Description
House. Early C19. Probably by Humphrey Repton and John Addey Repton for George Freke Evans. Squared coursed limestone with thatch and plain tile roofs. 3-unit plan in Cottage Orne style. Single storey with attic. 3-window range of headed casements under shallow stone arches. 4-panel door, to left of centre, is set in recessed porch with projecting eaves supported on wooden columns. Eyebrow dormer set in roof above porch has leaded casement. Bay to right is set back and forms a semi-circular end with a conical roof and overhanging eaves forming a loggia, supported on wooden columns. Hipped roof to left with lateral stone stack and stone stack at ridge. Elevation to right has C20 glazed door, under flat stone arch, to centre of semi-circular loggia. 3 eyebrow dormers to rear and small lean-to extensions, with plain tile roofs.
