Description

Public house. Early C18. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone with slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 5-window range of C20 casements with glazing bars under gauged stone heads now rendered. Ground floor refenestrated C19 has similar windows with rendered surrounds. Central C20 doors and porch. Moulded stone cornice and pair of gabled roof dormers with casements. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and brick stacks at ends. Late C18/early C19 one-unit brick extension to right connects to C18 stone barn which has C19 roof. Evidence of C18 wing to rear. Interior remodelled C20.
