Description
House. Early-mid C17 extended C18. Coursed limestone rubble, banded with ironstone, thatch roof, brick ridge and end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. C20 door to right with wood lintel in C20 porch. 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows to ground, first and attic floors, all with hood moulds. Small 1-light leaded staircase windows to ground and 1st floor centre. Attic window in eyebrow dormer. Quoins, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Left gable end facing street has 3-light stone mullion windows to ground and 1st floors, and similar 2-light attic window. 2-storey, 1-window extension to right, probably mid C18 with 3-light leaded casement window to ground floor, leaded fire window and 2-light leaded casement to 1st floor, all with wood lintels. 2-light chamfered stone mullion cellar window to left of centre. Chamfered plinth to gable end. Interior: ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and some original ogee-stop-chamfered joists. Stone fireplace with moulded jambs and straight head, and similar corner fireplace upstairs. Winder stair. Collar truss roof and stone cellar.
