Description

Cottage and bakery, now house. Early C18 with later C18 extension and C20 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone, reed thatch roof, brick end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. C20 door to left of centre with moulded wood surround and straight hood on brackets. Small 1-light mezzanine window to right with moulded stone surround and small blocked window to far right with stone jambs and lintel. Otherwise 3-light C20 casement windows to ground and 1st floor, the latter in eyebrow dormers. Quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Large C18 or early C19 full-height extension of similar materials to right formerly housing bakehouse. Right gable end rebuilt C20. 2 roof dormers. Interior: ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, and blocked inglenook. Large part-blocked open fireplace with chamfered bressumer in former bakehouse, now kitchen. Collar-truss roof.
