Description
Cottage. C16/C17. Coursed ironstone rubble, artificial stone slate roof, flanking brick stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with wood lintel and C20 two-panel door. 3-light windows on either side with wood lintels and C20 wood casements. Central window on first floor is of 2 lights under wood lintel with original moulded wood mullion and old iron casement. Flanking windows: 2-lights, with wood lintels and C20 casements. Interior: One cruck blade exposed on ground floor, 2 blades and tie beams on first floor. Ground floor room has chamfered spine beam and open fireplace (partly rebuilt C20) with bread oven.
