Description

Farmhouse. Probably mid C18 and early C19. Squared coursed limestone with slate roof. T-shape plan. Part of 2 and part of 3 storeys. Main front of 4-window range with gabled cross wing breaking forward to left. Unhorned sash windows with glazing bars are under rusticated ashlar heads. 3-window range to right is of 3 storeys with sash and casement windows to second floor set in false dormers with gables. One-window range lean-to at intersection of cross wing. Ashlar gable parapets with ironstone kneelers and brick and stone stacks at ridge, eaves and end. Mid C19 2-storey one-window range with casements is attached to right. Garden front to left of cross wing is a 2-storey, 3-window range of similar sash windows to main front. Central C19, part-glazed door also under rusticated ashlar head. Interior not inspected but said to have ceiling beams.
