Description

House, formerly farmhouse. C.1700, raised one storey, altered and extended early C19. Coursed squared ironstone, banded with limestone. C20 ridged tile roof, brick end and ridge stacks. 3-unit plan. 3-storey, 3-window range. 6-panel door to left of centre with overlight, stone lintel and gabled hood on brackets. Canted bay window to left with 12-pane sash to front, 8-pane sashes to sides and brick base. Wood mullion and transom windows to right of centre with stone sills and moulded eared stone surrounds with key blocks either side of blank window with similar surround. Three 2-light casement windows to 1st floor with moulded stone sills, eared stone surrounds and key blocks, alternating with blank windows which have similar surrounds. C20 windows to 2nd floor, replacing sash windows, with flat-arched stone heads. Chamfered plinth and chamfered quoins. 3-storey, 1-window extension to left with matching stonework, canted bay window to ground floor, C20 window to 1st floor replacing sash wondow and 16-pane sash to 2nd floor, both with flat-arched stone heads. Interior not inspected.
