Description

Barn, converted to a house. 1984. Coursed and squared ironstone with limestone dressing and C20 slate roof. Coped gables with kneelers and finials, single late C20 brick stack, 2 storeys, 3 bays. Single range. C20 glazing bar casements throughout. North west side has central blocked barn door with C20 door and casement under common lintel. To left, 2 casements and beyond, lean-to stone porch with curved wall. West gable, to street, has a 5-light casement with wooden lintel and above it, a 4-light casement. Above again, a central single opening. Both these have drip moulds. South side has 3 casements and to right, a single-storey C20 addition. Interior has early C17 single purlin principal rafter roof with cambered tie-beams. This building was used as county council garage during the mid C20. Included for group value only.
