Description
Pair of houses, now one dwelling. C17 and C19, remodelled C20. C17 house to right, uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble façade, limestone banded with ironstone at rear and side, squared ironstone quoins, artifical stone slate roof, central stone stack. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Three 2-light casement windows with wood lintels on ground floor. One-light window with wood lintel in centre on first floor, flanked by 2-light casement windows with wood lintels. Coped gable end. C20 dormer. 3-light stone mullioned window with flat stone hood to first floor on right side. Similar 2-light window to attic. Entrance in left bay at rear, has wood lintel and plank door. 3-light stone mullioned window to right. Similar window on first floor. Other windows C19 and C20. C19 house to left. Uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble, slate roof, brick stacks. Central doorway with C20 stone porch and 6-panel door with overlight, flanked by sash windows with stone lintels. Circular window in centre on first floor flanked by windows with stone lintels and C20 metal casements. Interior: C17 house has open fireplace and bread oven, chamfered spine beams, and winder staircase (treads mostly renewed).
