Description

House. Mid C18, dated 17-2. Ironstone rubble, squared and coursed with 3 courses of later brick below eaves. C20 plain-tiled roof with one ridge stack of brick and 2 end stacks of later brick on stone bases. 2-storey, 3-window range. To right are two C18 three-light windows, one to each storey, both moulded and mullioned, the ground-floor window with hood mould. 4 windows to centre and left are C19 with wood frames and glazing bars, and wood lintels above. Late C19 door has wood lintel and wood frame with moulded wood arch. Door is wood plank with iron handle and hinge. Corners to building and door have quoins. Roof has coped gables. Datestone above door to right is inscribed: "WM/17?2". Interior: C18 wood staircase has carved, flat balusters. Ceilings have original beams and rafters, chamfered and with chamfer stops. One beam is moulded. 3 inglenook fireplaces, now blocked, correspond to stacks above.
