Description
Farmhouse. C18, dated 1751. Coursed ironstone rubble, plain tile roof, stone end stack to right, brick end stack to left. 2 unit central staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central 6-panel door in gabled timber porch, a 2-light casement window above flanked by 3-light casements to ground and first floors. All with timber lintels. Stone coped gables with kneelers and small dormer windows. Lower 2-storey wing to left with stone by back door inscribed JD1751, door with round-arched hood on brackets, and 3-light casement windows. Interior has boxed spine beams, stone flagged floors, and open fireplace with bressumer. Wing continues as stables to attached slate-roofed barn both facing farmyard in front. Barn is late C18/early C19. Central opposing doorways.
