Description

Farmhouse. Early/mid C19 remodelled late C19 with some C20 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, slate roof, brick ridge and end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. Double-leaf part-glazed door to right of centre in moulded wood surround with fluted Doric pilasters supporting cornice/hood. Round-arched window to left. 3-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors left and right and above door, and 2-light casement to 1st floor left of centre, all with segmental-arched heads. Ironstone plinth and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Lower 2-storey kitchen wing to right has flared headers, plank door with stop-chamfered wood lintel and straight hood on brackets; 3-light casement window to ground floor and 2-light casement to 1st floor with stop-chamfered wood lintels. Interior: kitchen has stop-chamfered spine beams, open fireplace with stop-chamfered bressumer and late C18 wood fireplace surround in upstairs room.
