Description

Statue. Probably late C17 for Sir Christopher Hatton IV. Limestone ashlar depicting the Rape of the Sabines. Owned by Winchelsea estate, in guardianship of HMBCE. Kirby Hall is scheduled as an ancient monument. Included for group value. (Kirby Hall garden is included in the HBMC County Register of Garens at Grade II*).
