Description

House. Mid C18. Lias ashlar and brick with plain-tile roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Entrance front of 6-window range of sashes with glazing bars mainly under flat stone arches with keyblocks. The end bays to left and right have canted stone bay windows to ground and first floor with parapets above. Ribbed door to left of centre has moulded wood surround with Ionic pilasters with cornice and pediment over. Moulded ashlar cornice. The walls, window heads and cornice immediately above and to the left of the front door are brick, indicating possibly 2 building dates. Hipped roof with 4 hipped-roof dormers and brick and stone stacks at ridge. One bay extension to right is rendered. Rear and side elevations also partly rendered. C19 brick extensions to rear. Interior not inspected.
