Description

House, formerly farmhouse. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone and ironstone rubble, reed thatch roof, red brick end stack to left, stone end stack to right. 3-unit plan. 3 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central C20 part-glazed door to centre with wood lintel; similar door to right of centre in C20 porch. A 2-light casement in between, a 3-light casement to ground floor left and 2-light casements to 1st floor, all with wood lintels. Quoins and stone-coped gable with kneelers to left. 2-storey extension to right, originally lower, now under same roof. Interior: chamfered spine beams, one with ogee stops and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer. 3-bay roof with 2 collars and 2 tiers of purlins. Single-storey extension to the left, fronting the street, built of stone with thatched roof, housing a double garage.
