Description

Lime kiln. Mid C19. Brick. Circular plan with conical brick roof and octagonal flue. Flight of steps down to arch head doorway, below ground, gives access to furnace. Outer wall of kiln encased in late C19/early C20 brick strengthening skin. Originally part of Raunds Manor Brickworks.
