Description

House. Early C19. Red brick with pale headers, slate hipped roof, brick central stack. 2-storey, 3-window range faces rear. Central 4-panel part-glazed door with ornamental overlight in pilastered wood surround with flat hood. All windows have 16-pane sashes, stone sills and moulded stone lintels. Interior: stone-paved staircase hall; staircase with stick balusters, mahogany hand-rail and cast-iron ornamental standard. House built before 1817 by William Johnson, stonemason, for own occupation.
