Description

Farmhouse, now house. Datestone 1615. Squared coursed lias with slate and concrete tile roofs. Originally probably L-shaped plan now T-shaped. 2 storeys with attic. Rear elevations each of 2-window range, those to left are casements with leaded lights under wood lintels. C19 square bay window to right. C19 porch and door in centre. Ashlar gable parapets to north and east wings with brick stacks at ends. Wing to left is probably C19. Elevation to road has C19 tripartite sashes. Datestone in nor :> rior: Room to left of entrance has open fireplace with bressumer. Chamfered and stopped ceiling beams. Cellar under west wing has 2-light stone mullion window below ground level. Butt purlin roof structure. First floor room of barn attached to south was used as an early C19 nonconformist chapel and retains simple pulpit with fielded panelling.
