Description

Beehouse. c.1870. Limestone ashlar. 2 tiers of 6 round-headed alcoves for bee-skeps, with keyblocks. Plinth, pilastered corners and narrow pilaster strips between bays, plain frieze and moulded cornice. One of a pair in entrance arm of Kitchen Garden (q.v.) symmetrically sited either side of path leading from main entrance. (Castle Ashby park and gardens are included in HBMC Register of Parks and Gardens for Northamptonshire at Grade I)
