Description
Gates, gatepiers and screens. Early C18 for the Duchess of Norfolk, Limestone ashlar gatepiers with wrought iron gates and screens. Gatepiers are rusticated with attached columns, and moulded cornices, surmounted by closed lead urns. Gates with pyramid scroll tops. Attached railings with scroll panelled standards and scroll cresting. Located on main north/south axis of south front of Drayton House (q.v.).
