Description

House. Early C18, altered late C19. Coursed squared limestone, slate roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central part-glazed door in moulded wood surround with timber lintel in gabled stone porch with plain-tile roof. 3-light casement windows to ground floor. 12-pane sash windows to first floor, except for small rectangular one-light window above door. All windows have timber lintels. 2 roof dormers. Ironstone quoins to left angle. Chamfered brick eaves cornice. Lower 2-storey, one-window, extension to left. 3-bay barn to right, raised C19 in brick with plain-tile roof, now used as a living room. Interior: ogee-stop-chamfered spine beam; open fireplace with cambered chamfered bressumer.
