Description
Restaurant, formerly inn. C17, remodelled and enlarged early C19 with C20 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone, rendered to sides, hipped slate roof, brick lateral stack. Double-depth plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. Central blocked door with wood lintel flanked by canted bay windows. C20 windows to first floor replacing 16-pane sashes, with flat-arched heads. Right side elevation to south has irregular glazing of sash and 2- and 3-light casement windows and pargetting with huntsman in C17 dress with a harehound on a leash and a hare chased by a hound. Doors to left and right side elevations with straight hoods on brackets. C20 extensions to right and rear. Interior has chamfered spine beams and stone cellar.
