Description

House, formerly farmhouse. Early C19. Coursed squared limestone with ironstone dressings, hipped slate roof, brick rear lateral stacks. 2 unit plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. Central 6-panel door with overlight, panelled reveals, and pilastered wood surround and frieze and cornice hood. C19 horned sash windows to ground and 1st floors with flat-arched ironstone heads. Ironstone quoins and brick eaves. Lower 2-storey, 1-window wing to left has 4-panel part-glazed door with flat-arched head, tripartite sash window to left, and 11-pane sash to 1st floor, both with similar heads. Interior has dog-leg staircase with stick balusters and square newel posts with finials, from ground floor to attic. Originally part of the Grafton estate.
