Description
House. Mid-late C17, partly rebuilt late C18 following fire damage, with C20 alterations and extension. Coursed squared limestone banded with ironstone, thatch roof, brick end and ridge stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. C20 door to left of centre with wood lintel and C20 thatched hood. 2-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors, except for small window to right of centre; all with wood lintels. Quoins, stone-coped gable to left and 2-storey brick extension to right end. Gable end facing street has fine composition of 2-light stone-mullioned cellar windows, chamfered plinth, 3-light stepped and wave-moulded stone mullion windows to ground and 1st floors with stepped hood moulds, similar 2-light stone mullion window to attic, with hood mould, and stone-coped gable with kneelers. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer.
