Description
Cottage. Mid-late C17, altered C20. Coursed ironstone rubble, thatch roof, brick end stack. 3-unit plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. Blocked door with wood lintel, 2-light leaded casement window to ground floor far right, with wood lintel, and similar window and small fire window to left of centre, all with wood lintels and 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window to ground floor far left, with hood mould, re-used from demolished late C19 wing of Stoke Park. 2-light casement windows to 1st floor with wood lintels in eyebrow dormers. Quoins and rendered plinth. C20 stone-coped gable with kneelers of re-used stonework from Stoke Park. Left gable end has pair of ventilation slits to ground floor, and blocked window above with wood lintel. Present entrance to rear. Interior has stop-chamfered beams with ogee stops and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Collar truss roof. (Information from owner)
