Description
Pool and fountain. Mid C19. Limestone. Rectangular moulded stone kerb punctuated by low stone piers. Central fountain-head with trumpet-shaped bowl supported by large carved volutes and scallops to angles on cruciform base. Moulded stone plinth. Nymphs seated on volutes and another with up-raised arm in centre of bowl. Removed c.1900 from Harefield Hall and said to have been transported to present site stone by stone in barges by the Grand Union Canal.
