Description

Row of 3 cottages. Early C18, reconstructed early C20. Coursed ironstone rubble, fishscale tile roof, brick stacks. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Entrance to No. 8 in second bay from right has wood lintel, C20 glazed door and gabled timber hood on brackets. Entrances to Nos. 10 and 12 at rear are approached through carriage way which has wood lintel in third bay from left. All ground floor windows have wood lintels and 3-light wood casements, except for 2-light casement window in second bay from left. First floor windows all have wood lintels and 3-light wood casements, except for 2-light casement windows in right bay and second bay from right. Interior not inspected. Said to have been reconstructed after a fire in 1905 which damaged properties on the east side of the High Street. Included for group value.
