Description

Pigeoncote, coachhouse and stable. Mid C18, with mid C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble and brick, with stone dressings and stone slate roof. Stone coped gables and square wooden glover. 2 storey, 4 bays, L-plan. East side has an off-centre basket arched carriage entrance with double doors. To its left, a close boarded door with stone flat arch, flanked by single casements with wooden lintels. To its right, a doorway and beyond, a 2-light casement. Beyond again, a door with a large overlight, and a single storey gabled addition with a door and a single casement. Above, 3 2-light glazing bar casements. Rear has a central door and to the right an altered opening containing a 3-light casement. Beyond, a smaller casement. Above, to left, 2 double casements and to right a loft door. Pigeoncote interior has nest boxes around 3 sides, with stone shelves and brick uprights. Stable has a fitted tack room. Double purlin roof with chamfered beams and tie-beam trusses.
