Description

House. Dated 1672, extended and altered 1868. Coursed limestone rubble, C20 plain-tile roof, stone end stack. Two-unit central-staircase plan. Central C19 stone porch with chamfered basket-arched doorway and panelled part-glazed door with side and over lights; one-light windows to sides and stone-coped parapet. 3-light wave-moulded stone mullion windows to ground and 1st floors with hood moulds. Low wave-moulded stone mullion window above central 1st floor window and pair of gabled dormer windows. Stone-coped gables with kneelers. Range to rear, doubling depth of house dated 1868 to right gable. Interior has bar-stop-chamfered spine beam and open-well staircase with barley-sugar balusters or bulbous feet, a rebuilding of C17 staircase in C19 range.
