Description
House. C17 altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble, C20 plain-tile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. L-plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. 6-panel door to left of centre with wood lintel. 1-light window to right of door, 2-light casement window to left of door, similar window to 1st floor left and similar 3-light windows to ground and 1st floor right, all with segmental-arched heads. Bay to right of centre rises above that to left and both have stone-coped gables with kneelers. Blocked opening to right gable end with moulded Tudor-arched stone surround which may be reused stone fireplace. Wing to rear right. Interior has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and 2 open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers. Stone cellar. This house was linked in mid-late C19 to The Manor (q.v.) from which it is now, once again, independent.
