Description
Pair of cottages. Late C18. Coursed squared ironstone and coursed rubble. Slate and tile roofs, brick stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Doorways in right bay and second bay from right have wood lintel and plank door. Similar doorway in fourth bay from right, and C20 panelled door in second bay from left. C20 casement window with wood lintel in left bay. 3-light casement windows with wood lintels in third bay from left and third bay from right. 2-light casement windows with wood lintels on first floor. Interior: Rose Cottage has open fireplace and bread oven. Barewell Cottage not inspected. Included for group value.
