Description
House. C17, datestone 1686, and altered c.1900. Coursed limestone rubble banded with ironstone, squared ironstone quoins and dressings, artificial stone slate roof, stone stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys, attic and cellar, 2 bays. C20 stone porch in left bay has entrance in side with 4-centred stone arch and 8-panel double door. 3-light stone mullioned window with square hood to right. One-light stone framed window with square hood in right bay. 3-light stone mullioned window with square hood in right bay on first floor. Similar 2-light window in left bay. Coped gable end. C20 attic dormer. 3-light stone mullioned window with square hoods to ground, first and attic floors on right side. Wing to left, C17, similar materials. 2 storeys, attic and cellar, one bay. 2-light stone mullioned window with square hood on ground floor. Similar 3-light window without hood on first floor. Two 2-light stone mullioned windows to cellar on left side. 3-light stone mullioned windows with square hoods to ground and first floors. Similar 2-light window in attic. Datestone IP/1686 in gable. Coped gable end with kneelers. Interior: Set of chamfered beams in kitchen. Other rooms have stop-chamfered spine beams. Stone fireplace with 4-centred arch in ground floor and first floor room. Staircase c.1900.
