Description

House, now offices. Early and mid C18. Regular coursed ironstone with ironstone ashlar façade and plain-tile roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 5-window range. Flight of steps to central, double, 6-panelled door flanked by Doric pilasters with bowed entablature and cornice over. Sash windows with glazing bars under segmental arch heads. Stucco quoins at corners. Moulded ashlar cornice with ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. 3 flat topped roof dormers and rendered brick stacks at end. Rear gable has 2-window range of sashes similar to those at main front. 6-window range to rear is probably early C18, now attached to main house by C19 porch, and has one 4-light stone mullion window to first floor far left. Other windows are C19 sashes with glazing bars under wood lintels. Interior: room to left of entrance has fielded panelling with arched head alcoves and marble fireplace. C18 staircase with 3 turned balusters per tread and panelled dado. Some 6-panel doors and panelled window reveals.
