Description

Dairy. Early C19. Rendered stone, half-hipped slate roof. Hexagonal. Single-storey. Canted projection facing park to east has Gothick sash window to front with stone sill and four-centred head, similar windows to right sides and 2-panel door to left side with pointed-arched head. Another door to rear gives access to dairy from yard beside service wing of Little Houghton House (q.v.) separated from grounds of house by stone-coped stone walls attached to left side and rear right corner of dairy. Roof has deep projection forming verandah to sides facing grounds of house with rustic timber posts to angles. Interior has slate working surfaces.
