Description
Row of 3 cottages, now 2. Late C17, altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble, C20 plain tile roofs, brick end stacks. 1- and 2- unit plans. 2-storey, 6-window range. No.9 to left, a 2-unit lobby-entry plan house, has C20 pebble-dashed gabled porch to left, a 9-pane sash window to right of porch, small 1-light window to ground floor far right and 9-pane sash window to 1st floor left, all with wood lintels. Blocked window to 1st floor right; C19 2-storey 1-window extension to left end with sash windows. The Old Forge to right has painted stonework and formerly consisted of two cottages. Left half has C20 glazed door to left, 2-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors and small fire window to ground floor right, all with wood lintels. 2-storey, 2-window portion to right has 4-panel door and 2-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors, all with wood lintels. Interior: No. 9 has stop-chamfered spine beam.
