Description
House. C17/C18. Uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble. Slate roof with coped gable to left; brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, one bay. Shop front of c.1840 framed by panelled pilasters and moulded entablature. Central door- way with 6-panel door. Bay window of 4 x 7 panes to left, and smaller altered bay window to right. 2-light wooden casement with wood lintel on first floor. C19 gabled dormer with scalloped barge board. Interior: Late C19 shop fittings. Tiers of shelves divided by turned blusters. Arched tops. Said to have been fitted up for a tea merchant in the C19.
