Description

House, formerly baker's shop and dwelling. Late C17/early C18, extended and altered C19. Coursed ironstone rubble, banded with limestone, C20 pantile roof replacing thatch and brick end stacks. 2-unit central-staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central glazed door in C20 porch flanked by 3-light casement windows with segmental brick heads. Central 1st floor 3-light casement flanked by 2-light casements all with rendered heads. Tile-coped gable to left. Extension to right of 2 storeys and attic and 2 windows formerly partly outbuilding. Interior has spine beams, some boxed, some chamfered, open fireplace with cambered stop-chamfered bressumer and dog-leg stair with serpentine splat balusters; collar truss roof.
