Description
Cottage. C17, remodelled early C19 and roof pitch lowered. Coursed ironstone rubble, squared quoins, slate roof, brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and cellar; one bay. Doorway and windows have flat arched brick surrounds and all windows have old iron casements. Doorway in left bay has 6-panel part-glazed door and 3-light casement windows to right. Similar window to first floor. Gabled wing projecting forward from left side, similar date and materials, one storey, one bay has 3-light casement windows. 2-light stone-mullioned window to cellar at rear. Extension to right, probably late C17, coursed ironstone rubble, corrugated iron roof, brick stack, rebuilt in brick at rear in early C19. One bay; two storeys. Two 2-light casement windows with flat arched brick surrounds to ground floor. 3-light casement window with wood lintel to first floor. Gable end with brick coping. Interior: chamfered spine beams. Open fireplace.
