Description

{1} An archaeological evaluation was carried out on land at 17 Richmond Road, Towcester. It revealed a substantial ditch of uncertain date, buried beneath at least 350mm of overburden. This feature is possibly connected with the re-fortification of Towcester during the Civil War period in the 17th century.
