Description

{1} Further geophysical survey was carried out at Site 3. Previous survey revealed parts of the Romano-British settlement and associated field system with possible Iron Age antecedants (SMR No 3186). The results have shown the continuation of the field system whilst to the north the archaeological remains have tailed off, showing only ridge and furrow cultivation. In addition, a possible kiln/hearth was detected on the edge of the settlement. No other significant remains were detected.
