Description

{1} An archaeological evaluation involving a desk-based assessment, geophysical survey and trial excavation was carried out on land off Mallard Close Earls Barton. An evaluation trench was located through part of the enclosure as well as three smaller trenches. The main trench found archaeological feature c0.2m below the present ground level which confirmed the results of the geophysical survey and identified further features internal and external of the enclosure including gullies, pits and a possible post hole.
