Description

Three sites were surveyed by magnetometer on land at Whitehall Farm. The work was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology in March 2002 on behalf of S.Young and N.Adams as part of the Whitehall Farm Roman Villa Project. The survey was funded by a grant from the Nene Valley Steering Committee via South northants District Council to undertake the work. Site 2 lay to the west of Whitehall Farm. This was the location of a previously known Saxon burial site, in order to establish whether further burials lay in close proximity and whether a ditch surrounded them.
